Will Books Ever Go Out, like Records?

I remember a time that I would put a record on the record player and listen to my favorite groups. Actually, I also remember 8 track tapes, too. And to make myself look even older, I remember everyone "Not Having" a microwave oven. They were expensive.

I remember having a black and white television and I promise that one day something showed up color on the screen. It was just for an instant, but I know that I saw it.

It is weird, when you think of all the things that have come and gone. It is weird, when you mention JFK and some young people never heard of him. Life is weird!

Some people believe that the ebook craze will destroy all books. They think that the publishing industry will stop making books. Look, as long as Kindles and Nooks need batteries, there will be books. Who likes purchasing batteries? I do not.

I do know that more and more people purchase books online. It is so much easier to find it online and have it shipped, that is, if you do not mind the wait. Also, you save gas. Who wants to buy a tank of gas today? I do not.

The internet has changes so many things. You do not even have to purchase a text book now, you can rent it.
