Art and Paintings and Illustration
I have been a serious painter for well over 35 years. I met a local artist, when I worked for the Public Library. That artist was Marian Freeman. I started going to her house and painting with her and others. I will never forget those wonderful days. I still paint serious landscapes and still lifes from time to time, but I am also going to be teaching a lot of fun and whimsical items at the local Hobby Lobby. Below, I will feature some of those fun items.
Painting Class at Hobby Lobby

There is a lot of craze over "Owls" right now. It is funny how things always come back around. When I was a young boy, owls were popular and lots of people purchased them through places like Home Interior and used them to decorate their homes. My mom had them.
This is the fun painting that I will teach to a class at Hobby Lobby.

Mixed Media: Acrylic Paint and Paper

I did this one today, just for fun. I am working on something special for the second painting class. This is not it. I just wanted to see how easy it was to incorporate the paint and paper and make it look good. It worked.
Owl Bulletin Board

This is the painting that I did today for Beth's Bulletin Board outside her door. It is Acrylic on black paper.
Tree full of Owls

We made the owls out of construction paper and Beth will write the names of her students on the owl bodies.
