Media Kit
SP will help you put together a Media Kit for your book. We need the following information:
1. A Killer Press Release. (We will help write one for you.)
2. Author Biography
3. Author Photo
4. Excerpt or sample chapter to include in the Media Kit.
5. List of suggested questions and answers that you would like to be used by the Media.
Once we have put together the Media Kit, it will be yours to use as you wish. Tweek it to your liking. The above files will be emailed to you, so that you may print and use them as you see fit.

Biography:
Your Bio needs to paint a picture of you through your accomplishments. This is your chance to blow your own horn- tell the media Who you are and What you have done and How you accomplished it. Make this tone light and personable and impressive. Let your achievements make you someone that the Media would want to know more about. Keep it one-half to two-thirds of a page.
Also list hobbies, special interests, charitable, civic, social, and athletic activities.
Photo:
Photographs give a face to the story.
Questions and Answers:
Compile a list of suggested questions and answers that an interviewer might use with you during an interview.
A few question ideas to get you started:

Q: Why did you write ______________________?
Q: What authors have influenced your life and writing?
Q: Add your own questions and answers.

Take content from your book, information that you have written, and repackage it as speeches and special presentations. (Workshops-Seminars-Church Dinners-Articles-Games-Contests)
Make sure that your TITLE is "fabulous!" People purchase books based on the title.
Promotion Ideas: T-shirts, coffee cups, postcards, bookmarks, calendars, and etc.
Work toward Book Signings, Readings, and have a Book Party. Some people even have an online Book Party. (Think about having a Book Party for family and friends.)
Get involved with your local Book Club.
Speeches and Book Sales: On average, 25% of your audience usually buys a copy of the book.
Public Speaking: have a compelling topic. (Educate and Entertain) Be practical.
Things to incorporate into your presentation:
-How did you come up with the idea?
-How long did it take to write it? Illustrate it?
-When did you write it?
-What were your experiences while doing the book?
"Audiences love stories associated with your book."
*Keep the audience awake by being an entertainer!
*Be Funny! You must be a performer!

-At first, do not charge. Get exposure.
-Contact Church Senior Citizen's Groups, Sunday School Classes, Civic Organizations, Book Clubs, Libraries, Rotary Clubs, Elks Clubs, and do not forget Veterans of Foreign Wars.

*Make a Newsletter that you can pass out to guests.
