Lisa J. Michaels
Lisa J. Michaels
Lisa J. Michaels, the daughter of a talented architect and imaginative cartoonist, began her education in illustration at the tender age of three. Sitting on her fathers knee, she watched intently as he sketched swash-buckling mice that dueled across the pages of his highly detailed sketchbook. With time, the gift she received from her father became undeniable, and her future as a children's book illustrator was inevitable.
Today, Lisa is a long-time member of the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators. She has won several awards for her talent, and her work has been published by the Hibiscus Publishing, SCBWI, Sleepytown Press, Castlebridge Books, Stories for Children Magazine, and Atlantic Publishing.

Christina Baggett, a.k.a. Stina B.

Hello! my name is Christina Baggett, a.k.a. Stina B. i’m a 22-year-old freelance artist based in the United States.
Art and animals have been my lifelong passions. I spent my childhood constantly doodling, filling notebooks with stories and illustrations of kids and their pets going on adventures. I took a few art classes in middle school that introduced me to various styles, mediums, and classic artists.
In 2009 I contracted Lyme disease and became severely ill. My art was sporadic through the next few years - sometimes I was too sick to draw at all, other times I was extremely prolific because art was the only thing I could do and it was my outlet. Through this period I gained a deeper appreciation for the simple joys in life. I began to nurture a passion for children’s literature and sweet, charming, relaxing illustrations. Art helped me get through the day. Sharing it and being told it made someone else smile was and is one of the best feelings in the world.
Today I specialize in sweet, playful, lightly stylized illustrations featuring plants and animals of all kinds - although equines and canines are my favorite! In my personal art I draw the things that I see in my real life or in my daydreams. Since I’m a bit of a geek I sometimes mixing in scifi/fantasy, literature and pop-culture themes. I am also commissioned to draw people’s pets or characters or concepts they imagine!
