What Danny has to say about the book:
This book, Men and Women of Valor, contains the true stories of the men and women who did their part during World War II. These stories were told to me directly, with most being face to face interviews, or over the telephone. Some are stories of war and some are stories of supporting the war effort, but all are interesting, in my opinion, and need to be told and preserved for future generations. Interviewing these older citizens of our great country was a task that I enjoyed and it was the most fulfilling project with which I have been involved. Most seemed to enjoy my interviewing them and many had a gleam in their eyes as they told me about their earlier years. Some veterans got rather emotional when telling their story and I got rather emotional on occasion myself.
